Hi folks,
Well is anyone bored yet? This has definitely been the worst spell of weather I have witnessed in my time of being a Club Professional. The course, to be fair, has taken it reasonably well but has had to be closed mainly due to safety. The odd time it has been open the reports have been pretty good and the greens will no doubt benefit from the lack of play. Let's look forward to the start of the season.
Is Spieth the man?
Did anyone see the golf at the weekend from Kapalua? How good was young Spieth?! He looks like he is going to be in for another great season. A total of 30-under-par for his four rounds certainly tamed the course, and he was just one stroke away from equalling the tour record. I think he will be a major winner again this year (maybe even 4?). Who knows, but it's going to be an exciting start to the season and great to have it back on the box again.
Another weekend has come and gone with no Winter Series play. As a result I have decided to knock off one appearance requirement, you now only need seven to qualify for the final. With this the actual Winter Series winner will be the person with the best 7 scores (not 8) and will win the Claret Jug trophy. Here is hoping for some fair weather over the next few weeks.
