Hi folks,
Welcome to my latest newsletter. For the first time this year we managed to play golf on both days of the weekend! Unbelievable! This has definitely been the worst winter for golf that I can remember. Let's hope for some decent weather over the next few weeks to get our games in tune for the start of the season.
Sat 23 Jan - We had 34 hardy souls brave the elements on Saturday and looking at the points total I think some have been doing some secret practice elsewhere. First Class was won by big Jambo Chris Wilkes, pipping Gavin Simpson on the BIH after both carded 39 points. In Second Class Bill Caven pipped Kevin Rob by a point with 41 points. The Magic 2 was won by Troy O'Connor after the 8th hole was drawn from the hat, scooping £34 in the process.
Sun 24 Jan - 40 golfers turned out for Sunday's event and there was some great scoring on the day. First Class was won by Gill Fisher with 40 points, our first lady winner of the series. Gill was one ahead of Colin Dunlop in second. Rab McOwat and Brian Fraser both carded 42 points in Second Class, Rab taking top spot after countback. The Magic 2 hole was the 4th and there were three lucky winners: Colin Dunlop, Willie Kennedy and Paul Drake.
It's been pretty hectic in the shop since I returned from a small break in Disney, Paris. I've been opening boxes since with the new King Cobra range now available and I really think this is going to be a great year for them. Click here to view their range or pop in for a look.
As I write this newsletter, I have just had my hands on the new TaylorMade M2 range, just wow! Wait until you see these. I managed to get a couple of sneaky pics as you can see below - it's just like M1 but a fraction of the cost! Exciting stuff!
