Good afternoon,
Well people of Pumpherston, this unfortunately will be my last newsletter to you. I am not totally away as I didn't realise I had so much stuff (junk) to clear out. I will be over in the next couple of days to get rid of it all and clear the way for the new (old) Pro Richard Fyvie to move in. I would like to wish Richard all the best in his new role as the Head Professional and I am sure, if the membership show the same support as they did to me, then he'll do great.
Can I just take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have my time at Pumpherston so enjoyable. It has been an absolute pleasure to look after you all, help you with your golf and equipment and to get to know you all. Hopefully I will not be a stranger to Pumpherston, although time is precious at the moment with the young family and new job. I have been impressed with the new chef's start and will need to come and check out a proper meal for myself. Having said that, a few of you owe me at least one beer so I will get in touch for that also.
I hope you all have a great season on the course and please stay in touch. Although the M8 is a nightmare at times, I'm not that far away if you miss me that much. I am also going to try arrange a reciprocal deal where Pumphy members can play Wishaw and vice-versa for a small fee. Watch this space.
All the best,
David Park
