As I write this I am sipping on a bucks fizz at breakfast on holiday with the family in Tenerife. I have my clubs with me so hopefully I'll have some golfing pictures for you in next week's edition, if Mrs Park lets me play anyway.
Last Sunday I enjoyed my first Silloth competition at Wishaw. It was a great day and with a good turn out and even though the weather turned nasty later on, it didn't dampen the spirits too much. A big thanks to everyone that was brave enough to have a go at my 'hit the green challenge'.
The overall winners were Peter Carty Snr and his son Kevin Carty with a score of 66 and two-thirds. A great score indeed.
I don't think they could have used the bar on the course as much as some of the "spectators". Rumour has it some had to be buggied off the course due to their legs not working properly. No names shall be mentioned to protect the innocent. Haha.
