It really feels like golf season now, it's been pretty hectic up at the club with the course looking better and better each day.

Away Day

A few of the Wishaw members were away golfing on holiday recently, can you spot who they were in the picture above?


 

A new star

Star of the show this week is Steven Torrance. Steven has been struggling of late with his irons and in particular struggling with the contact on the ball. As we can see from the before picture his overall set up looked a little bit out from the position of the ball to his hand position. We worked on moving the ball a little further forward in his stance (to the middle) which led to crisper strikes instantly. Looking forward to further improvements as the lessons progress.

Greenkeepers Gripe

As I mentioned earlier the course is really coming in but I noticed even myself when I played a few holes the other night the pitchmarks on the greens are terrible. Can every player just take some time not only to repair their pitchmark but a few others, this will make the greens better for us all. Here is a little video.
