Hi folks,
Welcome to this week's newsletter, last week I was writing to you just before I played and this week I have the unfortunate job of telling you how I played...Well rather than give you a hole by hole account I will just tell you I scored 4 over. I really enjoyed the game after a 6 year exile and, although the score was not what was desired, I actually hit the ball ok, mainly short game let me down but at least I know what to practice now. It's so much harder with the card in the back pocket.
Silloth impresses
Well the revamped Silloth tournament seemed to be well received and can I just take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for playing. We had 162 players in total with about 25 sponsors. A pretty good start and thanks again go to those who sponsored however small the prize was, it all helps in the long run. Looking forward to next year already.
The tournament itself was won by Eddie Meechan and former member John Wardrope with a fantastic nett 66, just edging out Liam Molloy and Chris Wilkie who had 67.
Full list of winners can be found by clicking here.
