Welcome to the my weekly blog, feel as though all I am doing just now is reporting how bad the weather has been. Big Gerry and Co continue to impress with the course condition. Also great to see so many pupils doing so well and putting in some great scores, all that hard work is now paying off!

Save The Date - Pro Day 9th September 2017

My big day is almost upon us and I am just putting the finishing touches to the event. The format will be member/guest. This will be open to full and midweek members and will be on a first come first serve basis. Each member must bring a guest with a valid club handicap. The final format will come to you as a special email with the prize list and entry conditions but trust me you do not want to miss out, the prizes are crazy...

Doppelgangers...

Been a pretty frustrating time with lessons in last few weeks, with lots of lessons having to be cancelled and moved due to the rubbish weather; however those who have managed to get in are really reaping the benefits. Keep up the good work!

I had Dalziel Park member Peter Fergie and Wishaw Member David Smith come for a lesson almost back to back and could not believe they were suffering from the exact same thing. In the before pictures you can clearly see far too much weight on the left (front) foot. Both players were decent with a short iron but had little chance of success with the longer irons.

In the after picture shots you can see more weight on right foot at address, this enables the player to turn through the shot better and promote a better release of the golf club resulting in more power and higher shots, especially with those hard to hit long irons.
