Hi people of Pumphy, welcome to my latest edition of my newsletter.
We really are being spoilt with the weather just now, 21 degrees in September, happy days! Let's hope it keeps up for the whole month and the Ryder Cup at the end of September. Speaking of which, how good was it to see Captain Paul McGinley choose Stephen Gallacher as a wildcard after so narrowly missing out after a great last round in Italy. Think it is safe to say the whole of Scotland will be behind him and the team.
This Week
Congratulations to member Jamie Gardner (pictured here) who topped off his recent hole-in-one with a first place at the Preston Field open. Jamie is enjoying a terrific season with his handicap coming down from four to two. Well done Jamie and keep it up.
This week we have the two round Stephen Heany trophy on Saturday and Sunday. There are very few tee off times left and both days are pretty much full, so if you need a time then please contact me here ASAP.
Exciting times ahead for the club with our new catering franchise opening today, Friday 5th of September.
Please make sure you pop in try out some of the new food for yourself.
Next Week
Sunday the 14th we have the Sassenach Trophy which is a stableford competition. If you wish to play, please sign up on the board as usual. The sheet goes up on Thursday night as per usual.
I have arranged for a club cleaning company to be on duty that day, see the flyer here, so it is a good chance to get your manky clubs cleaned. This usually costs £5 but the girl is doing it per donation only.
