Pro's news

What a weekend of golf that was!

Didn’t the boys do well? What about the partnership of Molinari and Fleetwood, or “Moliwood” as it’s now known? I thought the Americans were very poor apart from the first day but the team spirit from the Europeans was first class as normal. There is no doubt that has a huge part to play in such ring the points. It was brilliant to see “The Postman” Poulter performing to his usual level in the Ryder Cup.

I hope you all enjoyed it as much as myself, roll on 2 years time.

Well what about the day we had...

My head on Monday morning probably described it perfectly. Thank goodness it only happens every 2 years. I would like to thank everyone that took part and got into the spirit of the day. Ross Murdoch and I had a great game with Captain Connor MacLeod and his partner George McClune and from chatting to everyone after the game it seems everyone had a brilliant day. The bar was bouncing for the presentation and the golf that followed on sky sports also.

Fitting news

Another success!

TaylorMade conducted their fourth Fitting Day at Wishaw Golf Club on Monday with another 8 members fitted for their excellent product. I would like to thank TaylorMade for their continued support through the year. There have been lots of improvements made to people’s game through the use of their skilled technicians and Trackman.

Who knows one day I might be able to provide that type of service myself.

Friday 2/11/18 – Gent’s Presentation of Prizes

This will be a popular event where the golfers are rewarded for their efforts during the year. The guest speaker this year is Murdo McLeod. I am sure he will be very entertaining.

Friday 9/11/18 - Race Night for the junior Section

Again another popular night ahead, tickets are available from pro shop and cost just £5, which includes a buffet. You can also purchase a horse for each race for £5 and again this can be done in pro shop or on the night.

Wishaw Boys on tour!

A group of likely lads made the trip to Marbella, what goes on tour stays on tour, apparently.

So not too much to report then.

Other than I can gather the golf was good and the after golf was good also!

A new look...

I asked Gerry to cut the first fairway in 2 halves rather than the traditional cross cross pattern.

What do we think? I personally really like it and it really sets the dogleg up.
