Well folks it is almost here. The Ryder Cup 2014 at Gleneagles starts this Friday. We have been talking about it for months and it's finally time to see the best golfers from Europe and America take to the course!
What about local lad Stephen Gallacher? Will he get a game in the pairings? I think he will get a fourball game on the second day! Hope he does very well! Good luck to everyone playing.
Sorry, at the time of writing this newsletter I did not have the results from the weekend to announce. Can I also apologise on behalf of the club for the little boo boo with the tee off times on Sunday. It worked out that some games were pushed back as much as an hour but hopefully this wasn't too much of a problem. We are all human after all and at least it was a nice day to hang around! We will endeavour to make sure this never happens again.
Business as usual in the shop and I have been getting a look at some of the
new gear for next season, some orders already placed! The shop will look even better next season so start saving now!
Can I also remind everyone that we are continuing with a Wednesday Sweep while the weather and the course is good. This will count for your handicap so if anyone is struggling for games then please use these.
Also watch this space for news on winter golf. I realise there is not much organised for winter golf at the weekends but I would like to change this. I will be meeting with the Match Secretary over next couple of weeks to see how we can revamp it!
