This week's newsletter is a little different to my normal weekly ones. I am going to entirely focus on letting you know about the upcoming WINTER SERIES at Pumpherston. Below you will find the rules and regulations for the competition. Please take the time to give it a read, hopefully these are all self-explanatory but any questions about them then please get in touch.

I would really love this to take off as it's an idea that was used at my previous club and they ended up having a brilliant winter golf scene. Not only does it keep you swinging and playing through the winter (you pay for 365 days golf!), but the club gets to see your smiling faces also.

Rules and Regulations

• Play is open to Gents and Ladies
• Play shall be over both days of weekend and will be Stableford format, you may play both days if you wish
• Play shall be between 8.00am and 1.00pm. Book your tee off time as normal in the Pro Shop, if you do not have a partner to play with then call the shop and if possible you will be paired with a game that can take you
• Play course as you find it (.ie winter greens)
• There will be two handicap classes: handicaps Scr to 13 and 14 to 36
• The entry fee is £2, £1 of this will be used for a sweep and £1 will be used and put towards the prize-fund for the final day in March
• There will also be an optional £1 entry for Magic 2's. There will be a draw for which hole will be used for a Magic 2
• A player must play a minimum of eight times through the winter series to qualify for the Grand Final in March
• Handicap adjustments will be as follows: Winner of Class - Cut two strokes; Runner-up in Class - Cut one stroke (Please note this does not effect your national handicap)
