Winter Series starts with a Bang!

Pupmhy's Winter Series got underway last weekend and we were hit with pretty rough weather. There were 24 hardy souls playing on Saturday and 42 even hardier souls on the Sunday! In pretty horrific conditions the scoring was pretty decent and many thanks to everyone who turned out to play. Let's hope for some better weather in the next few weeks and we can see the numbers rise.

The first class division on Saturday was won by Alan Leishman with a score of 37 points, one ahead of Jim Davidson in second place. The second class division was won by Nick Hares with an impressive 41 points, four ahead of second placed Tam Taylor. There were two successful players that managed a two on the magic 2 hole the 15th they were: N. Anderson and T. Taylor.

The first class division on Sunday was highly competitive and there was a tie at the top of the leaderboard on 38 points. However, Jim Davidson won on countback to take the spoils from Jim Smith. In the second class division Tom Murray was the winner with a score of 37 points, followed by Adrian Bowman in second place with 34 points. The magic 2 hole on Sunday was the 8th, however there seemed to be no great challenge as there was only one two throughout the day, the successful golfer was Derek Steele.
