John Campbell leaving the Pastures New

I am sure you will all join me in wishing former Club Professional all the best as he moves south with his wife Caroline. Everyone will have a fond memory of John and a great story or two. He was my first coach and has certainly guided me over the years to the profession I am in now. I did have to hand over my modern PGA tie to him right enough as his is a little dated now, it’s the least I could do.

Thanks for all your help over the years John and all the very best to you. Don't be a stranger.

Don't pack the clubs away yet

Who had a pair of these?

I'm sure the shoes below will make a lot of you smile. It's been a long time since golf shoes looked like the first image and it's safe to say that comfort, style and traction have all come a long way since then - even if some of us think the overlapping tongues looked great!

Old style shoes

It wasn't just the daring uppers and striking tongue that defined golf shoes from yesteryear; flip the shoes upside down and the hard leather outsole featured single metal spikes that resembled weapons more so than traction pods.

Spotlight | TaylorMade P790 irons

When TaylorMade launched its original P790 irons back in 2017, it's safe to say they went down a storm with golfers across the country.
