Greetings from David Park
Pumpherston Golf Club - PGA Golf Professional

Well Tiger's return didn't quite go to plan but it was great to see him back in action and I thought his swing was looking great. Some of the old magic seemed to be there except for his chipping - it was humbling to see this although I am sure he will get that right soon.

What an amazing couple of weeks for Jordan Speith though, winning in Australia and then at the Hero Championship with an amazing total of 26 under to win by 10 strokes!! Also worth mentioning he didn't have a bogey for 43 holes!! Amazing!

This weekend has seen the first real bad weather to hit the course which maybe put a few off for the winter series.

Saturday
We had a total of 27 play and the winner of the First Class was Steve Prior who had just returned from a two year holiday in America. Steve had a terrific 41 points and pushed the steady Alan Leishman into second place with his 37 points. In Second Class Gary Robb produced 41 points to take top spot pushing Graeme Thomson into second place. Graeme, however, had the last laugh by picking up £27 for his magic two on the 4th hole! The only player to have one there.

Sunday
We had a slightly better turn out on Sunday with 35 players on what was an awful day so hats off to everyone for playing that day! In First Class Roy Ogilvy had a brilliant 43 points to take first place and Paul brown had a steady 36 points for the runners-up spot. In Second Class Ronnie Blake had 41 points to pip Fraser Scotcher who had 40 points. Not great weather but great scoring folks, well done. The magic 2's were won Kevin Walls who had a 2 on the 4th and cleaned up all the pot to himself, this was worth £33! Well done!

We now have £627 saved up for the grand final in March.

I have created a little winter warmer table in the shop to give you some ideas for stocking fillers for Christmas. Pop in and grab a wee bargain. Also, don't forget about Vouchers for the shop or indeed lesson vouchers which are a brilliant gift to give someone.

As I write this newsletter I must show you what I am looking out my windows to today, how very Christmas-sy!

Hope to see you on store during the week!! Remember to call me if I can help with any Chrimbo Presents!

I hope you enjoy the rest of my newsletter and have a great weekend!
