A great success... Thanks to everyone who helped, played and sponsored a very successful Pro's Day 2020. It wasn't the perfect date for it but in the current times, it was the best we could do. Sorry to all of you that couldn't play due to September weekend commitments. Next season, I will hopefully get the date back to a suitable one. Also, fingers crossed COVID-19 will be gone and we can get back to some sort of social activities. A special thanks to Carole and her staff and Raymond and his staff for keeping everyone fed and watered. Although the restrictions are difficult at the moment, it looked like everyone enjoyed themselves. I am sure the treasurer will be happy with the cash injection this day brings, even in these tough restricted times. A big thanks to Gerry and his staff also, it looked like the frost was going to scupper the day as it just wouldn't lift. Thankfully, it did just in the nick of time. Having said that the last two games did finish in the dark. A big thanks to them for their patience and indeed everyone who had to hang around to get started. I did get a few last-minute cancellations due to the delay. Thanks to players who stood in to reduce the number of two balls out there. Thankfully, some of the players who cancelled last left their entry fees in so it didn't hamper the fantastic array of prizes. Also a huge thanks to everyone who had a go in the raffle. I am going to let it run for a few more days (weekend). I have a decent amount of money collected but holding out for a few more £££. All the profits will go to local charity Hope for Autism who are based in Airdrie. Pop in for a shot if the prizes attract you. |
