Turkey Trot - Sunday 20th December

It almost seems we should forget about anything social this year. The tradition of the Turkey Trot always seemed to kick off the festivities with the booze and the band. None of which can happen this year under the restrictions. I do feel however we should play the golf part of it. We will aim to make the best day possible and not let the restrictions dampen our Christmas spirits. The booking sheet will go live on Sunday 13th December at 7:15pm. This is for MEMBERS' ONLY and the entry fee is £5 per head. It would be great to get some donations for prizes also. You must have a bottle or something lying around the house.

The In Between Christmas and New Year Scramble - Wednesday 30th December

After previous year's success again I feel it is worth trying this. Yes part of the fun was to have a drink and show the dance moves off on the dance floor. This obviously won't be happening this time around under the current restrictions. It is however a great chance to bring your friends for a game in the fun Texas Scramble format. Entry fee will be £20 per team. The booking for this will go live on Wednesday 16th December at 7:15pm. It is encouraged to be a member/guest day. Bring your own refreshments for the course and have a great day. A cracking prize table and on course prizes will be up for grabs. Again sponsorship would be more than welcome.

Rosie makes an impression

I had a wee furry visitor to the shop the other day. How cute is wee Rosie. Rosie decided to play havoc with the social distancing signage. The owner who shall remain nameless had his smile wiped off his face later in the day though. Rosie decided she didn't like his £20 note. Before we get any complaints she was in collecting her owner's Christmas present which she bought through the Click and Collect service. Check out Rosie's video below....

Video of the Week

We're all going to need a waterproof jacket over the coming months. Any old jacket won't do though; it needs to be golf-specific so you can still swing a club with ease.
