Hey folks,
Welcome to my newsletter. A busy week of golf with the great weather although the rain and cold weather has just appeared from somewhere! Not good but hopefully this is it for the rest of season.
I was invited to play in Pro-Am at Archerfield on Sunday to be part of team Pumphy. The team was made up of myself, Ross Burnside, Kerr Anderson and Mike Herries. What a cracking set up there and urge you all to try and get a game there, it really is top drawer. We ended up getting pipped by a point to miss the prizes which is typical but hopefully the team enjoyed themselves. I know I did although the shots didn't always seem to go where I wanted them!
Last weekend saw the completion of the Colville Cup two round competition. Well done to Adrian Bowman (putting lesson last week) who managed to win the competition on the better second round score rule, Ross Hamilton just missed out on the silverware.
This weekend we have another busy time of it with competitive play, on Saturday we have the Kilfeather Trophy and names can still be added on the noticeboard or by calling the shop. On Sunday we have our annual texas scramble tournament, the winners of this year's scramble will go forward to represent the club at the grand final with the winners then going on to a trip to see the masters in Georgia next year! You would be mad to miss out so please get involved, there are still places available so pop up or get in touch for a time!
The stock continues to come in and out of the shop, great to see so many of you now using the shop, the latest addition is the new Cleveland wedge range, at only £79 it really is an amazing value club with some of the competitors pushing the £100 mark. Pop in and snap them up!!
