Welcome to my latest newsletter. Well the dust has just settled on a brilliant Open Championship, the weather did try to ruin it but it made for a fantastic grandstand finish on the Monday. The golf was quite terrific and they really took the old lady to pieces. The birdie fest made for some great viewing! I really thought Spieth was going to do it after holing that monster putt on 16, however it was great play by the eventual winner Zach Johnson - his golf was brilliant all day and never really put a foot wrong and his putting was amazing!

I managed to get up to St Andrews on the Friday although the early morning play was almost wiped out with the rain. Here are a couple of snaps to prove I was there to soak up the atmosphere. I did spend some of it at the course and not the beer tents!! I also bumped into a couple of dodgy people, see if you can spot who!! The two pints were not mine of course!!!

It is of course our Open Championship this weekend and there are still some spaces available, please get in touch to book a tee-off time. Also next weekend is when you have to come up and enter the ever popular Silloth tournament. The prizes for this are excellent and you certainly don't want to miss out on that one!! 

I had the opportunity to go and see the new Puma Golf collection for next season, and I was very impressed. You can look forward to that brand coming exclusively to Pumpherston next season! #gotime

I have just taken stock of some more Pumphy logo items, some nice new towels, hats and 120 year commemorative coffee mugs - a must for all you coffee and tea drinkers!
