Welcome to my weekly newsletter. How bad is this weather? The rain has been terrible and it really is making the course play quite long. The course is in amazing condition so hats off to Stan and his gang on a top job after a slow start to the season. He has us spoiled!

We have a Wilson D200 Challenge on Wednesday, 5 August at Pumphy. This will take place between 2.00pm and 6.00pm with spaces still available for you to take the challenge! I have finally got round to selecting a winner to by my Game Improvement Champion. The lucky winner was Craig Ferguson. Craig has won the package of lessons that will see us cover all aspects of the game from long game to short game as well as looking at all of his equipment. The aim of this project is to see Craig improve his technique which will lead to him improving his scores and enjoying better golf. 

In the pictures below, I am trying to show how poor Craig's posture and set up position is. With this new set up, Craig will be able to achieve a more powerful and consistent swing. There was a lot of weight on his heels that was causing him to sit into the ball too much, resulting in a poor spine position that was very rounded. With his driver, he also had the ball too far forward which was causing him to lean on his left side too much. I felt his stance was very narrow which was causing him to use his upper body only and not his legs. Have a look at the improved photos and see what you think.

Early days but things are looking better already and I am looking forward to working with Craig. Look out for more changes next week.
