Hi folk and welcome to my weekly newsletter,
Busy times at Pumphy as usual and we have even experienced some nice weather! I ventured out the other day and was blown away with how nice the course is, the greens in particular are probably the best I have been on this year! Stan really has you spoilt. There's a big weekend ahead with the annual Silloth competition on Saturday and Sunday. There are still the odd space available and with a prize every hole and a prize table of over £2000 up for grabs, you would be mad to miss out.
Craig came along for his second lesson and what a difference from the terrible posture he had in lesson 1! Although he looks a lot better over the ball, he was struggling a little to make good contact and infact had developed the dreaded S(hank) word!! We worked at trying to get Craig coming a little more from the inside to the ball as he was coming severely across the ball (out to in) as you can see below in photo one.
In the second photo above we worked at trying to get the left shoulder a little higher at impact, this drops the club a little more on the inside and gives him a much better angle to attack the ball from. Almost instantly Craig lost the shank and started hitting the ball really flush. Let's hope he can get this form on to the course soon.
There is still new stock coming in daily and I have already started ordering for next season! I was lucky to see the new
FootJoy clothing range for 2016 and it is stunning! The range has went very well this year so I am sure with the array of shirts and tops available, next year it will be the same.
