Hi folks,
Welcome to my latest newsletter. As I write this I am looking out at driving rain, sleet and high winds. Storm Abigail is certainly here and it's looking very doubtful for play at the weekend!
A few weeks ago we had Brian Stewart in for a lesson and I said we were going to change his grip, well as you can see from the pictures below it has made a difference! The first photo of him in the blue jumper is Brian's before grip, and the second photo is his new grip - can you spot the difference?! The good news is that he has taken it in his stride and big improvements to his game are well underway.
Sat 7 Nov - 31 golfers played in Saturday's Winter Series. 1st Class saw Stevie Prior run away with the honours after coming in with 42 points, six ahead of runner-up Mark Carruthers. Two golfers tied at the top of 2nd Class on 40 points, Stewart McLaren edging ahead of Derek Miller. The 11th hole was the Magic 2 hole on Saturday, and we saw a hole-in-one from Alan Leishman to take home the £31! Well done!
Sun 8 Nov - There 52 golfers in Sunday's event with two people managing a two on the Magic 2 hole, the 13th. Congratulations to Steven Bleakley and Ross Adamson who took home £26 each. 38 points was good enough for Troy O'Connor to win 1st Class, finishing one point ahead of Ian Adamson in second. Chris Pickles had 42 points to win 2nd Class, beating Joe King by one.
After this weather I am pretty sure that the mats will be in play almost immediately so remember the launch pad mats are in-store!
