Welcome to the latest edition of my newsletter. As I write this I am currently on my third from last day of my holiday with the family in Fuerteventura. We are having a brilliant time and the weather is pretty amazing for this time of the year. I managed to talk Mrs Park into letting me take the clubs with me and have managed to sneak in two rounds during my trip.
The first round was round Fuerteventura Golf Club, quite an interesting course and is really challenging. It was blowing a gale that day so made some of the tee shots pretty scary as it meanders through pretty expensive villas! Thankfully I never heard any windows smashing!
The second round I played was at Salinas Golf Club. This course was just a couple of kilometres from the other course but presented a much different challenge. The fairways were protected with deep bunkers, lakes and like a weird volcanic ash as you can see from the second photo above. This was really horrible to play from and certainly put a few extra scrapes to your clubs. It did however look very nice.
I am back to work on Tuesday, 1 December and will be gearing the shop up for when the big man in the suit arriving. So if you can think of anything you would like from the big man, then please ask him to get it from your local pro shop where I can get anything you are wishing for! Also look out for a pretty spectacular Christmas raffle. More about that next week!

Glove warning According to FootJoy, a worrying 50% of you are playing golf in a glove that’s too big for you – which will present grip issues. You might be fine, but ask us the question next time you’re about to head out for a round. Can’t do any harm, can it? | learn more |

Need help this winter?
For those of you looking for extra distance, Wilson’s Dx2 Soft could be the answer, with its extremely soft feel. Now’s not a bad time to experiment with the ball you play, and we’re here to help advise you. May we also suggest trying a yellow ball, ideal for this time of year? | watch our video |

Often, playing at this time of the year can highlight any problems you may be having with distance. The course will be playing longer, but if you're really struggling with getting the yardages you need through your irons set, then Wilson Staff's D200's should be on your try list. |
